Fire District Meeting Information

Fire District meetings occur on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at Station 2, located at 750 Grooms Rd, Rexford, NY 12148. These meetings are open to the public. Additionally, budget workshops are scheduled for September, with a public hearing to finalize the budget in October, also at Station 2.

Fire District Election Schedule

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Town Law } 175 (1) of the State of New York that the Annual Fire District Election of the Vischer Ferry Fire District in the Town of Clifton Park will take place on December 9, 2025, between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm at the Vischer Ferry firehouse, Station #1, located at 360 Riverview Rd. Rexford, New York, for the purpose of electing one Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term commencing on January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2030. All voters registered with the Saratoga County Board of Elections and residing within the Vischer Ferry Fire District on or before November 20, 2025 shall be eligible to vote. Candidates for the office of Fire Commissioner shall have their names filed in petition form, signed by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the district, with the Secretary of the Vischer Ferry Fire District, at the fire house at 750 Grooms Rd. Rexford, NY, no later than twenty (20) days before the election, November 19, 2025.   

The Budget Process

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing for the proposed 2026 budget of the Vischer Ferry Fire District will be held on Tuesday, October 21 2025, at 7:30 PM at the Vischer Ferry Fire Station #2, located at 750 Grooms Rd, Rexford. A copy of the proposed budget is available to view at the Town Clerk’s office, 1 Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park and the Office of the Board of Fire Commissioners located at 750 Grooms Road, Rexford.
