Fire District

The Vischer Ferry Fire District is responsible for funding the provision of fire protection and emergency services to residents and property within the district.  For this purpose, the residents of the district are represented by a board of fire commissioners consisting of five district residents who are elected on a rotating basis to serve five year terms as fire commissioners.  The board of fire commissioners is responsible for preparing a budget for the fire district and levying taxes on the real property within the boundaries of the fire district to fund the purchase of the apparatus and equipment required for the provision of emergency services.
