We are beyond grateful to everyone who purchased lobsters and supported the Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company! Your enthusiasm and generosity made this year’s Lobsterama a HUGE success! We served 1,114 lobsters with smiles all around and beautiful weather!
A special thank you to our incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly from start to finish — from driving 9 hours through the night, to setting up, steaming, packaging, and assembling orders and organizing traffic. This event wouldn’t be possible without your dedication and teamwork!

This community event offers fresh, steamed lobsters and live lobsters for you to take home and enjoy at your leisure. Simply drive through our parking lot to pick up your pre-ordered lobsters, fresh-caught off the coast of Maine and delivered straight to us that morning for the highest quality and best flavor possible.

Whether you’re a fan of succulent, freshly steamed lobster or prefer the excitement of live lobsters to prepare yourself, we’ve got you covered. Bring your family and friends for this delicious pickup event, it’s a day you won’t want to miss!

Q: When I purchase a lobster, when do I pick it up?
A: All orders will be picked up on Lobster Day on Saturday, October 4th at 750 Grooms Road, Rexford, NY 12148.

Q: I ordered a lobster, do I need to do anything?
A: Keep an eye out in your email. We send out the day-of instructions the week before pickup day.

Q: How big are the lobsters?
A: All lobsters are 1- 1 1/4 lbs.

Q. If I order a steamed lobster, will it be hot when I pick it up?
A: No, after steaming we chill the lobster to stop the cooking process.

Q: How do I reheat the lobster?
A: You can easily reheat the lobster in a microwave. Instructions will be provided.

Q: Are the lobsters served with any sides?
A: Yes, all orders are served with a side of salt potatoes.

Q: I would like a larger lobster, are any available?
A: Since it is our first year hosting Lobsterama, we have decided to keep it simple. In the future, we will likely be expanding our size options as well as our side options.
